Metsäpeura, Rangifer tarandus fennicus,
Wild forest reindeer and reindeer (Rangifer tarandus) look very similar. Based on appearance, it is sometimes impossible to say which is which. Wild forest reindeer are usually larger. Their legs are taller and their antlers thinner and bigger than those of reindeer. Wild forest reindeer are darker than reindeer, and they are also more timid.
